Never one to shy away from jumping the self-promotion bandwagon, there is now an Illusion of Joy page at myspace.com. Currently users may stream three songs from Division and one from Bitter. Check back there on a regular basis, as that is likely to become the first place people will be able to preview new music from Illusion of Joy. As always, old music can be found in the Media section of this site.

The website has been modified so that navigation is easier for those who have browsers which can not display frames (the poor souls). In addition, overall navigation in the gallery section has been improved. These changes should make it so that search engines are more likely to properly index pages on the site as well.

For a limited time, you will be able to download a high-quality version of “Beloved” from the Illusion of Joy page at music.download.com. The low-fi version remains in the media section of this site.

The new album from Illusion of Joy – Division – has finally been released. The official date of release was April 20th. Those local to Pittsburgh will be able to find the disc at Eide’s Entertainment and other fine independent record stores. Others – namely those outside of Allegheny County – may have to special-order the release, which can be done by emailing Derek at HPL Laboratories.
In other news, the media section of the site has been updated with song samples from Division, along with some back catalogue from the out-of-print releases Crystalline and Bitter.

The new Illusion of Joy album, Division will not be released today. Some tweaking remains to be done on the final master. The new release date is expected to be April 13th.

After fourteen months of being absent from the world wide web, the Illusion of Joy website has been relaunched within its own domain – illusionofjoy.net. This officially marks the break from Anhedonia Records and virtual residence under that domain name.
The site goes live just in time for the release of a new album – Division – which is slated to be in available on March 30th. Division features dcf.Pegritz (additional production of The White Beyond by ThouShaltNot) and Joe Stacey (of Masochist Monkey Circus) lending their talents to the mix. A track listing may be found in the discography section. Check back soon for song samples.
