Upcoming Performances

As Illusion of Joy is primarily a recording project, by its nature, this does not translate well to live performances. It is not without some effort that what is heard on record is perfectly transcribed to the stage, at least in a form that is satisfying for both the audience and the performer. Music – and the art of songwriting – are, however, a versatile medium.
Seth Warren, the individual behind Illusion of Joy, is currently in the process of attempting to put together a series of solo performances for the Fall. These are the first two of what will hopefully be several appearances:
Date | City | Venue |
Saturday, September 22nd | Palmyra, PA | Blue Moon Coffeehouse [Map] |
Saturday, November 3rd | Albany, NY | Muddy Cup Coffeehouse [Map] |
Unlike the fully-produced performances recorded on the albums, these shows are a chance to hear Illusion of Joy songs at their rawest and most naked. Stripped to the core, this music takes on an entirely new dynamic. Don’t miss out.
